WHAT WE OFFER YOU

  • Dutch contract;

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Lead and work alongside your team in ship repair, focusing on welding, grinding, cutting, drilling, and assembling ship components
  • Utilize your expertise in steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, working both independently and as part of a team
  • Work without detailed technical drawings, relying on your knowledge, experience, and initiative to complete projects
  • Proactively identify solutions and ensure work progresses efficiently and to a high standard
  • Be actively involved in both new construction and ship repair, making a real impact through your practical skills and leadership

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU

  • Extensive experience in ship repair and/or construction, with a strong focus on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
  • Good command of English
  • Hands-on mentality, willingness to work beyond standard hours, and a strong team player
  • Natural leadership skills, attention to quality and safety, and the ability to motivate a team
  • Experience working without detailed drawings and taking initiative is a plus

WHAT WILL YOU DO

Assist in the installation of trim, molding, and other decorative elements to enhance the appearance of interior spaces;
Aid in the preparation and installation of cabinetry, shelving, and other built-in fixtures according to project specifications and design plans;
Support the hanging of doors, windows, and hardware, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality;
Assist with wood staining, painting, and finishing techniques to protect and enhance the natural beauty of wood surfaces;
Help with the installation and finishing of flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, tile, and vinyl, with attention to detail and craftsmanship;
Assist in the construction and installation of custom furniture pieces, such as bookcases, benches, and entertainment centers, under the guidance of experienced carpenters;
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, plumbers, and painters, to coordinate work activities and ensure seamless project execution;
Learn to use hand and power tools, including saws, drills, sanders, and nail guns, safely and effectively to perform carpentry tasks;
Follow safety regulations and guidelines on job sites, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to established safety protocols.

WHAT WE EXPECT

  • Previous experience in construction or related field preferred, with exposure to finishing carpentry considered a plus;
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills;
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude;
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods;
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing work of the highest quality.
