WHAT WE OFFER YOU

  • Opportunity for a permanent contract; 
  • Weekly payment on Friday;

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  1. Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine the dimensions, materials, and fabrication requirements for custom metal components;

  2. Select appropriate metal materials, such as tin, copper, aluminum, or galvanized steel, based on project requirements and design specifications;

  3. Set up and operate metalworking equipment, such as shears, brakes, rollers, and soldering irons, to cut, bend, shape, and join metal components;

  4. Fabricate custom metal components, including roof panels, gutters, flashings, vents, and decorative elements, using precision measurement and fabrication techniques;

  5. Perform soldering, welding, riveting, and other joining methods to assemble metal components into finished products;

  6. Inspect fabricated metal components for quality, accuracy, and adherence to design specifications, making adjustments as needed to ensure proper fit and function;

  7. Install custom metal components on construction projects, working closely with other tradespeople and contractors to integrate metalwork with other building elements;

  8. Follow safety regulations and guidelines in the operation of metalworking equipment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to established safety protocols;

  9. Maintain accurate records of fabrication activities, including documentation of materials used, production quantities, and quality control measures.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU

  • Previous experience as a tinsmith, metal fabricator, or a related field required;

  • Proficiency in metalworking techniques, including cutting, bending, shaping, and joining metal components;

  • Strong mathematical skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications;

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality metalwork with precise dimensions and specifications;

  • Creative problem-solving abilities and the ability to innovate and adapt to changing project requirements;

  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods;

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues and clients.
