Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and tests on electrical and instrumentation systems to identify and address potential issues before they lead to equipment failure or downtime;
Calibrate, adjust, and configure instrumentation devices and control systems to maintain accuracy and reliability in process control and monitoring;
Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals to understand system configurations, wiring diagrams, and component specifications;
Diagnose electrical and instrumentation faults, malfunctions, and failures using diagnostic tools, meters, and testing equipment to determine root causes and implement corrective actions;
Install, modify, and upgrade electrical and instrumentation systems and components as needed to support operational requirements and project objectives;
Collaborate with engineering teams, maintenance personnel, and other stakeholders to plan and execute maintenance activities, shutdowns, and equipment upgrades safely and efficiently;
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair histories, documenting work performed and parts used in compliance with maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements;
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and electrical safety practices, to prevent accidents and injuries;
Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to electrical and instrumentation systems to maintain proficiency and competence in the field.
Proven experience as an E&I technician, electrical technician, instrumentation technician, or similar role in an industrial environment;
Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, components, and equipment, including motors, PLCs, sensors, transmitters, and control systems;
Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards applicable to industrial settings, such as NFPA 70E and ISA standards;
Proficiency in using electrical tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments for maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks;
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and technical manuals to understand system configurations and specifications;
Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex electrical and instrumentation issues and develop effective solutions;
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
