WHAT WE OFFER YOU

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  1. Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine the layout, dimensions, and materials required for steel structures;

  2. Select and prepare structural steel materials, such as beams, columns, and girders, for fabrication and installation;

  3. Weld, bolt, or rivet steel components together to assemble structural frames, bridges, and other steel structures, following welding procedures and industry standards;

  4. Operate rigging equipment, such as cranes, hoists, and winches, to lift and position steel components into place;

  5. Secure steel structures in place using bolts, anchors, and other fasteners, ensuring stability and structural integrity;

  6. Perform welding, cutting, and grinding tasks to modify steel components and remove excess material as needed;

  7. Assist in the layout and marking of steel components for fabrication and installation, ensuring accuracy and precision;

  8. Conduct inspections and quality control checks of completed work to verify compliance with project requirements and industry standards;

  9. Follow safety regulations and guidelines on job sites, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to established safety protocols.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU

  • Previous experience as an ironworker or a related field required, with at least 3 years of experience preferred;

  • Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, with certification preferred;

  • Knowledge of structural steel components, fabrication methods, and industry standards;

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications;

  • Strong mathematical skills and the ability to perform accurate measurements and calculations;

  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and working at heights;

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

Assist in the installation of trim, molding, and other decorative elements to enhance the appearance of interior spaces;
Aid in the preparation and installation of cabinetry, shelving, and other built-in fixtures according to project specifications and design plans;
Support the hanging of doors, windows, and hardware, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality;
Assist with wood staining, painting, and finishing techniques to protect and enhance the natural beauty of wood surfaces;
Help with the installation and finishing of flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, tile, and vinyl, with attention to detail and craftsmanship;
Assist in the construction and installation of custom furniture pieces, such as bookcases, benches, and entertainment centers, under the guidance of experienced carpenters;
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, plumbers, and painters, to coordinate work activities and ensure seamless project execution;
Learn to use hand and power tools, including saws, drills, sanders, and nail guns, safely and effectively to perform carpentry tasks;
Follow safety regulations and guidelines on job sites, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to established safety protocols.

WHAT WE EXPECT

  • Previous experience in construction or related field preferred, with exposure to finishing carpentry considered a plus;
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills;
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude;
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods;
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing work of the highest quality.
