WHAT WILL YOU DO

  1. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the layout, dimensions, and connections for instrumentation and control systems;

  2. Select appropriate instrumentation components, such as sensors, transmitters, valves, and actuators, based on project requirements and operating conditions;

  3. Set up and calibrate instrumentation devices, including pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors, and level indicators, to ensure accurate and reliable measurements;

  4. Mount and secure instrumentation devices to equipment, machinery, piping, and structural supports using mounting brackets, clamps, and fasteners;

  5. Install and connect electrical wiring, cables, and conduits to instrumentation devices, following wiring diagrams and electrical codes;

  6. Perform functional tests and diagnostic checks on instrumentation systems to verify proper operation and identify any issues or malfunctions;

  7. Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation systems, including replacing faulty components, adjusting settings, and recalibrating devices as needed;

  8. Follow safety regulations and guidelines on job sites, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to established safety protocols;

  9. Maintain accurate records of instrumentation activities, including documentation of installations, calibrations, repairs, and test results.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU

  • Previous experience as an instrumentation fitter, instrument technician, or a related field required, with at least 3 years of experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in the installation, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems, including sensors, transmitters, and controllers.

  • Knowledge of electrical wiring, circuits, and components used in instrumentation systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

  • Strong mathematical skills and the ability to perform accurate measurements and calculations.

  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors

WHAT WILL YOU DO

Assist in the installation of trim, molding, and other decorative elements to enhance the appearance of interior spaces;
Aid in the preparation and installation of cabinetry, shelving, and other built-in fixtures according to project specifications and design plans;
Support the hanging of doors, windows, and hardware, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality;
Assist with wood staining, painting, and finishing techniques to protect and enhance the natural beauty of wood surfaces;
Help with the installation and finishing of flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, tile, and vinyl, with attention to detail and craftsmanship;
Assist in the construction and installation of custom furniture pieces, such as bookcases, benches, and entertainment centers, under the guidance of experienced carpenters;
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, plumbers, and painters, to coordinate work activities and ensure seamless project execution;
Learn to use hand and power tools, including saws, drills, sanders, and nail guns, safely and effectively to perform carpentry tasks;
Follow safety regulations and guidelines on job sites, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to established safety protocols.

WHAT WE EXPECT

  • Previous experience in construction or related field preferred, with exposure to finishing carpentry considered a plus;
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills;
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude;
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods;
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing work of the highest quality.
