Assemble, fit, and align instrumentation components and devices using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with instrumentation systems, including analyzing data, testing components, and identifying root causes of malfunctions.
Repair or replace faulty instrumentation components, wiring, or tubing to restore functionality and accuracy to instrumentation systems.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks on instrumentation equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to plan and execute instrumentation projects and upgrades.
Adhere to safety regulations and standards at all times, including following lockout/tagout procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, service reports, and equipment inventories.
Technical degree or certificate in instrumentation technology or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an instrumentation fitter or technician in an industrial environment.
Strong understanding of instrumentation principles, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
Experience with precision fitting and assembly techniques using hand tools and power tools.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments.
