Install and assemble central heating (CV) systems according to project specifications, including boilers, radiators, piping, valves, and controls, ensuring proper alignment and connection of components.
Mount and secure heating system components to walls, floors, and structural supports using appropriate mounting brackets, fasteners, and anchors, ensuring stability and safety.
Install and connect piping systems for heating distribution, including supply and return lines, using soldering, welding, or threading techniques as necessary, ensuring proper insulation and sealing of joints.
Configure and calibrate heating system controls, including thermostats, pressure valves, and zone valves, to ensure accurate and efficient operation of heating equipment.
Conduct functional tests and commissioning procedures on heating systems to verify proper operation, identify any issues or malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with heating systems, including leaks, blockages, and malfunctions, and perform repairs or replacements as needed to restore functionality.
Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines on job sites, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to established safety protocols.
Previous experience in HVAC installation, central heating installation, or a related field is required, with at least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Proficiency in the installation and assembly of heating system components, including boilers, radiators, piping, and controls.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with heating systems.
Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines related to HVAC installation, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with supervisors, colleagues, and clients.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various positions for extended periods.
